Powder Puff Canceled

Powder Puff this year is being canceled due to the lack of interest among the girls in grades 9th-12th. There has been talk about the games being re-scheduled in the spring. Many of the girls are disappointed about the canceling of the powder puff games. A majority of the girls have already paid their five dollars to play. The games were set to be on Friday, November 6th, at six at Shea stadium. It’s not only a disappointment to the girls that were signed up to play, but also to the fans and people that were going to go out and support the game. It seems as the year’s progress, the less the students become interested in participating in powder puff. Janie Vogelsung, a senior classman, says, “I was looking forward to my last season for powder puff, but I hope we can re-schedule it because it’s really fun.”

Canned Food Drive

November second through the sixtieth, Norwood High school will be collecting can goods to donate for families in need. The advisory that collects the most cans will win a pizza party; second place advisory will win doughnuts. But collecting cans will be a great Thanksgiving treat for those families in need.
Senior Sarah Franklin said "I think is really sweet of us as students to collect food for those who need help. It's really nice and I want to win that pizza party!" If a pizza party helps kids gives cans, I think that's a even trade. Senior Michelle Geiger said "I love giving to charity, it allways makes me feel good inside."
So if there is any canned food at your house, bring em' in and help out.
